Biography

Jeremy Davidson is entering his 5th season as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Bryan College. Davidson, a 96′ grad from Bryan and a native of Fayetteville, Georgia, made the move, with his wife Tracy, from Albany, Georgia where they both served in multiple facets at Sherwood Christian Academy since 2011, including as an instructor in the Bible Department, the Campus Pastor, and the Soccer Program Director. While overseeing the boys’ and girls’ varsity and middle school soccer teams, Sherwood was a five-time State Champion and five-time state runners-up.

Davidson had a successful collegiate playing career at Bryan College from 1994-98 where he competed on the pitch under the tutelage of renowned Lions’ Coach Sandy Zensen. During his time as a Lion, Davidson was selected as an All-Region player in the NCCAA on four occasions, garnered three-time All-Conference First Team honors, and was named a two-time NCCAA All-American Second Team member. He capped his playing career at Bryan by helping the Lions secure their first-ever (TVAC) Conference Championship in program history.

Once his playing career ended, Davidson immediately began coaching club soccer in the Atlanta area with AFC Lightning, Peachtree City Lazers, and later with United Futbol Academy. In 1998-99, he received his USSF National C and B coaching licenses.

In 2004, he and his family made the long move to Rivne, Ukraine to serve in full-time missions work with Operation Mobilization’s SportLink ministry where Davidson was playing and coaching in a variety of different capacities while working with players at all levels. In this role, he was focused on forming methods for using soccer as a platform for developing evangelistic opportunities and discipleship-concentrated relationships.

In 2007, the Davidsons moved back to the United States to work in youth ministry at Woolsey Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ga. before their time spent at Sherwood.

While a student at Bryan, Jeremy met and married his best friend and wife, Tracy (Stone) Davidson (96′), and they have been married for the past 26 years. They have 3 children. Their oldest daughter Brynn is married to Collin O’rear both of whom graduated from Bryan in 2022 and are now working on their Master’s degrees from Bryan. Their middle son, Landon is now a senior at Bryan in the Communications department and a member of the soccer program. Beckham is their youngest son and he is currently a Sophomore at Bryan, studying in the Criminal Justice Program and also playing in the soccer program.

What an honor it is for me to be able to be the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Bryan College. To be able to follow in the footsteps of coaches like Sandy Zensen, Joey Johnson, and Drew Courtney is truly the chance of a lifetime for me. They have built an amazing program with a reputation of not only playing top-level soccer, but also building men of character that can impact this world for Christ. That is exactly the kind of program I want to be a part of, and I am grateful for the opportunity to grow that reputation even further.
