Born and raised in Central FL, Kim was active in band, choir, church, and with her family. Her mother attended Bryan in 1959 and 1960 and was determined to have at least one of her children attend Bryan as well. Kim came to Bryan as a student in 1980 planning to major in music. But the Lord had other plans. With her degree in Christian Education (now Christian Ministries), she worked vocationally as a Children’s minister for over 15 years. Returning to Bryan in 2005, because her oldest son, Chris Tuttle ’11 wanted to attend Bryan. Her youngest son, Nick Tuttle, also graduated from Bryan in ’12 and met his wife here – Sarah Newlin Tuttle ’11. Kim has 3 wonderful grandchildren: Nora and Will Tuttle in Burlington, NC, and Kimberlynn Tuttle in Ten Mile, TN.
I came to Bryan in 2005, realizing one of my greatest dreams: to extend the same love and support to students at Bryan College that I had received from the faculty and staff when I was a student. When our beloved Administrative Assistant retired, I transitioned into her role where I could continue serving and supporting students. As needs changed, I took on the role of Housing Coordinator again and Student Services Coordinator, where I help students connect with other students, faculty, and staff in a meaningful way.
