Biography

Rachel Pacurari is licensed in the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). Rachel has a strong emphasis on soul care and providing a safe, caring space for students to work through difficult times and feel more empowered to live more abundantly. She provides a steady, empathetic presence for her clients to explore the depths of their souls and begin to hope again. Rachel utilizes multiple therapeutic approaches, depending on the needs of students, including replacement therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief-solution-focused therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR. Rachel, a Bryan psychology graduate (2012), returned to the hill in 2016 to work in the counseling center after completing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

I truly feel so honored and privileged to care for students at Bryan College through Counseling Services. I believe working through one's story is one of the bravest things an individual can do. The journey of healing and restoration is worthy work and every time I meet with a client for the first time, I am floored by the strength they are displaying by facing their story. In my seven years at Bryan, I have been deeply changed by the clients I have sat across from.
