Reflecting on my career, I recall a pivotal moment from my undergraduate days at Florida State University. My communication professor's story about the "Scopes Monkey Trial" in Dayton, Tennessee, and the founding of Bryan College, named after the Christian politician William Jennings Bryan, left a lasting impression on me. Little did I know then that I would later teach at Bryan College, a place I fondly refer to as my "Bryan Lion" family.
