Biography

Stephen was born and raised in Southeast Tennessee. He earned a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication in 2017, and an MBA in Marketing in 2019 — both from Bryan College. Prior to stepping into his current role, Stephen served as the Resident Director for Long Residence Hall and the Assistant Coach for the Men’s Soccer team.
Stephen and his wife, Amy, have two kids: Riley Kate (3), and Josiah (1). They love spending time outdoors – fishing, hiking, and these days, spending many hours at the splash pad. They also love playing games. Fierce competition has become the norm in the Ricketts household.
Stephen is passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making His name known. He loves serving others in practical ways and loves interacting with and developing students.

As a former RA, I loved the opportunity that Residence Life gave me to connect with students on campus. Having the tangible and concrete ability to physically serve students at Bryan was something that I've always been excited about, and that's something I really enjoyed about the RA position. I love to invite students into the rhythms & routines of our daily lives, and we remain grateful for the incredible team that we get to partner alongside in our Kingdom work.
