Senior Design Capstone Presentations

The Senior Engineering students participate in a year-long design project.  This year we have three teams working on projects.  One is working with a sea cucumber hatchery in Indonesia to develop a plan for improvement and expansion.  Another is building a concrete canoe that not only floats but will also compete in an ASCE concrete canoe competition at UTC.  The third team is designing a mobile cart to safely transport sensitive medical equipment for hospitals located in developing nations. This cart can be assembled onsite using the team’s design plans with locally available materials.  These projects provide real-life applications for the student’s learning.
