Nate Byrd, a May 2026 graduate of Bryan College, ranked in the top 10 globally in the final Glo-Bus standings. Because of his performance, Byrd received an invitation to compete in an exclusive international competition featuring students from 11 universities around the world.

Bryan College marked a significant milestone in its history on May 1 as the Clara Ward School of Nursing celebrated its first graduating class with a traditional pinning ceremony. The following day, the nine graduates joined their peers in walking across the stage at commencement, marking the culmination of their academic journey.

Bryan College Athletics has announced that senior men’s basketball player Nick Chambless and senior track and field/cross country member Kennedy Groves have been named this year’s recipients of the Lion of Valor Award — the highest athletic honor bestowed by the Bryan College Department of Athletics.

Bryan College junior Nathanael Butler has been awarded a prestigious Ledford Scholarship from the Appalachian College Association (ACA), recognizing his academic excellence and supporting his original research in the field of political and legal studies.

Bryan College senior Zane Gates has been awarded the Bradley Graduate Fellowship at Virginia Tech, a highly competitive PhD-level honor awarded annually to top graduate students in electrical and computer engineering.

Bryan College hosted its 2026 Opportunity Scholarship Dinner in Chattanooga, featuring keynote speaker Shannon Bream and student testimony from Adriana Martinez-Rodrigues. The event highlighted the life-changing impact of scholarships and raised $353,725—surpassing its goal—to support Tennessee students pursuing a Christ-centered education.

Bryan College Athletics has announced Kassidy Gaylor as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball program. A North Georgia native and former collegiate player at Samford University, Gaylor brings a strong coaching background and a passion for investing in student-athletes within a faith-centered environment. She and her family are excited to join the Bryan community as she steps into this new role.

In 2025, Tim and Connie Winkler Slocum and Annette Winkler Egeberg established the Alan Winkler Memorial Scholarship for Biblical Studies in honor of their dad, a beloved Bryan College professor whose dedication to God’s Word and love for students left an indelible mark on the Bryan community.

Bryan College has launched a new Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Organizational Leadership online, designed to help students build leadership skills for a wide range of careers. This flexible, transfer-friendly program focuses on communication, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making—preparing graduates to lead in business, nonprofit, ministry, and public service settings. Offered 100% online, the degree is ideal for working adults and students looking to complete their bachelor’s degree while advancing their leadership potential.
