Performing Arts Academy
The Performing Arts Academy of Bryan College exists to provide a variety of musical experiences for Dayton and surrounding communities.
The Performing Arts Academy currently offers private instruction in piano, organ, voice, flute, violin, guitar, and more. If you are interested in an instrument that is not listed, please contact our office and we will do our best to find a teacher for you. Private lessons are given in 30 or 60-minute increments, depending on your preference and the recommendation and availability of the teacher.
Level 1 Teachers are student-teachers who are still gaining experience, but have already undergone pedagogical training, or have fulfilled other requirements pertaining to their instrument of specialization.
Level 2 Teachers hold a music degree or have fulfilled other requirements pertaining to their instrument of specialization.
Professors or teachers who have completed a Master’s or Doctorate degree related to their instrument of specialization.
Music lessons are billed by the semester and can be paid as one-semester payments or four equal installments (August-November and January-April). Semester tuition includes 12 lessons (which do account for breaks). Payments made after the 15th of the month will incur a $25 late fee.
The academy registration fee ($25 per student or $50 per family of 2+ students) covers participation in recitals and events such as workshops, master classes, festivals, and field trips each semester. A discounted rate is available if families opt to register for a full year at a time ($45 per student, $90 per family).
