Emilie Newport is an experienced administrator with a Higher Ed & Performing Arts background. She holds a B.S. from Bryan College (‘13) & an M.A. from Louisiana Tech University (‘18). Her professional endeavors have moved her around the country – from Louisiana, New York, South Carolina, and back home to Tennessee. As the Calling & Career Development Coordinator here at Bryan, she is driven by a desire for excellence & a passion for equipping students with the resources, support, & confidence they need to follow their calling & build professional careers they can be proud of. She also co-hosts the “On The Hill” podcast.
Emilie is a member of New Union Baptist Church & enjoys serving on the production team & as a Youth Leader. She loves TV, film & live theatre, game nights with friends & family, fun earrings, & dates at Taco Bell with her husband Daniel.
After several years away, I'm back on the hill and now serve as the Calling & Career Development Coordinator. In this role, I have enjoyed the opportunity to exercise my collaborative and creative muscles as I am constantly trying new things (and partnering with our faculty) to get students invested and excited about their career and professional development.
