Lacy White is entering her first year as head coach of the Bryan College shooting team. She transitions to this position after being an athlete on the team for four years. As an athlete on the team, she has earned six national titles as well as many regional and state titles. In 2022, White was a member of the Scholastic Clay Target Program’s (SCTP) international bunker trap team. She earned her place on this team after placing first in both the overall tournament and the finals that followed. She has competed all over the United States including Puerto Rico, and has had the opportunity to train with and compete against some of the nation’s best athletes. She earned her bachelor’s degree here in Criminal Justice with minors in Communications and Biblical Studies.
I consider this opportunity to be a redemption moment for both myself and Bryan’s shooting team. After fighting for this team for 4 long years, I am looking forward to being the person who leads this team to success. I say this not because of my own ability, but because of the goodness of Christ. I am most excited to lead this team by showing my athletes what it looks like to be God-fearing men and women on the shooting field.
