Biography

Lydia Duong-Jones currently serves in the Mailroom and Campus store as an assistant and as a counseling intern at the Bryan College Counseling Center. Lydia grew up as a missionary kid in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where her parents served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 15 years.

Lydia moved to Bristol, TN for two years in 2018 to play college soccer and to pursue a degree in digital media and graphic design. While home for Christmas break, Lydia met her husband, Ethan. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Lydia moved to her parent’s home in Chattanooga, TN, and transferred to Bryan College Online. At the beginning of 2021, Lydia and Ethan were married and she finished her bachelor’s in psychology later that year.

After graduating, Lydia decided to take a break from school and worked as a middle and high school teacher at Rhea County Academy. In 2022, Lydia started working in the Mailroom and Campus store. Lydia is now working on her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

My time here at Bryan has helped me see what it means to live an integrated life. Many wonderful individuals on campus live their lives to glorify God. I am challenged to do the same, whether I am handing a package to a student or sitting with a client, it is for the glory of God.
