Summer Institute: Photography: Basics and Beyond

In the Photography Track at the Bryan College Summer Institute, you will:

  • Develop a personal philosophy as a Christian artistic photographer;
  • Study various aspects of Photography;
  • Learn the basic manual controls and composition skills of Photography;
  • Participate and receive feedback on technique, composition, and meaning in daily Masterclass sessions; 
  • Strengthen their God-given Aesthetic Capacity and Visual Literacy; and
  • Create a portfolio of their best photographs.

Todd Giles has been teaching college-level art classes, including photography, graphic design, drawing, art appreciation, and art history, since 1996. Todd and his wife, Pam, relocated to Tennessee in 2021 and are excited to be a part of the Bryan College community. His hobbies include creating art with a one-hundred-year-old letterpress, racing vintage enduro go-karts, watching IndyCar, and struggling with golf.
