Some 125 graduates are to receive their diplomas as Bryan celebrates its December graduation Friday, December 16, 7:30 p.m. in Rudd Auditorium.

According to Academic Vice President Dr. Bradford Sample, members of the first cohort of students to complete the Master of Arts in Christian Studies program will be among the 35 graduate degrees to be awarded. Also to be conferred are MBA and some 90 Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.
 
Speaker for the event will be Pastor Joe Novenson, senior teaching pastor of Lookout Mountain (Tenn.) Presbyterian Church. Pastor Novenson has an extensive pastoral, speaking, and teaching ministry, and has served at Lookout Mountain since 1996.
 
During the ceremony a student from the School of Adult and Graduate Studies will receive the Degree Completion Research Award, and a student from the School of Arts and Sciences will be recognized for having the highest scholastic record during his or her time at Bryan.
 
The 7:30 p.m. commencement service will be followed by a reception in the Latimer Student Center honoring the graduates.
