The Bryan College Hilltop Players will present Edward Chodorov’s “Kind Lady” April 10-12.

This drama centers on the story of elderly and wealthy art collector, Mary Herries, who takes in struggling artist Henry Abbott, along with his wife and infant when the young woman falls ill.  This “kind lady” finds herself the victim of a growing group of wicked and clever crooks, who convince those close to her that she has lost her mind.  Mary becomes an isolated prisoner in her own home as her valuable art collection is sold off piece-by-piece, before a courageous act frees her and reveals the con artists.

“‘Kind Lady’ is the kind of play that can keep you on the edge of your seat with anticipation and inquiry,” said Director Bernie Belisle.  “Just imagine what it would be like to be trapped in your own home with no link to the outside world.  As an audience member you will be rooting for the heroine even at the expense of her would be caretakers.”

Cast members include Hannah Shipe as Mary Herries, Justin Jones as Henry Abbott, Grace Loe as Ada Abbott, Caleb Julin as Mr. Edwards, Allison Baker as Mrs. Edwards, Sydnie Enecks as Aggie Edwards, Rachel Liebert as Rose, Dakota McClellan as Mr. Foster, Crystal LaPlue as Lucy Watson, Sarah Vest as Phyllis Glenning, Nathan Price as Peter Santard, Drew Warren as Gustov Rosenberg, Nick Wilbanks as the doctor, and Anthony Lanzi as the servant.  Senior Luke Fox is working alongside Belisle as student director.
