The season was billed as "A season of Mayhem, Mystery, and Magic"
This year the Hilltop Players undertook a massive and ambitious season beginning with the challenge of recreating a classic comedy farce in Brandon Thomas' Charley's Aunt. The production featured many new students as well as some of our seasoned actors.
In January, the dessert theatre production of Agatha Christie's classic Mystery play, The Mousetrap, entertained and thrilled audiences in our intimate black box theatre: Brock Hall. Audiences were treated to an evening of a delicious dessert and coffee and then settled in to enjoy the varied and suspicious characters created by the "dame of mystery."
April brought on our most ambitious endeavor of the season with the full production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. This sung-through musical challenged the players vocally, musically, and technically. The production was a tremendous success and is one of the best productions done on Rudd Stage.
