Bryan College will welcome prospective students to campus Sept. 20 and 21, in its first Illuminate/Highlight visitation days for the new school year.
Kim Tuttle, special events coordinator, said visitors coming for Illuminate will spend Thursday afternoon and Friday becoming acquainted with the college, while Highlight guests will pack the Bryan experience into Friday.
Illuminate guests will have the opportunity to attend classes, take a campus tour, eat dinner in the Alumni Dining Room and attend meetings of several student organizations before spending the night in a residence hall.
Highlight guests will join the festivities on Friday. In addition to attending classes, the admissions office will offer sessions on financial aid and admissions procedures and distance learning and dual enrollment possibilities. Students also will be able to learn about intercollegiate athletics, the Summit at Bryan College, the Worldview Team and study abroad and missions opportunities.
Parents are invited to attend a session titled "Preparing Your Child to Succeed in College."
Dean of Students Bruce Morgan will discuss community and student life before the closing session when admissions personnel will give away an iPod.
