Frequently Asked Questions about Giving to Bryan
Will my gift of $50 make a difference?
Every gift counts no matter the size. Last fiscal year (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012) 2,485 alumni and friends made gifts of less than $100. The total of these gifts was $45,281.20. A single gift of $50 may seem small, but the cumulative impact of several gifts is substantial. When we apply for a foundation grant, we often have to submit the percentage of Alumni who give. Alumni participation is based on a gift of any size—no matter how large or small.

Why do we offer a Christian Education?
“Christian education today has the one principle that can give learning a frame of reference spacious enough to comprehend all knowledge and dynamic enough to develop moral and spiritual maturity in the midst of a materialistic and violent age.”
“Christianity … has the right to control the instruction in all departments. The general principles of Scripture apply to all subjects, and in some subjects Scripture supply rather detailed principles, so that every course of instruction is altered by a conscious adoption of Christian principles.” Dr. Frank E. Gaebelein in The Pattern of God’s Truth
How do we accomplish our mission?
Bryan College strives to accomplish the goals of a Christian education by engaging and retaining outstanding professors, maintaining a reasonable professor-to-student ratio, offering rich academic programs, and demonstrating individual concern for the student population.
Why are gifts to the college necessary?
All institutions of higher learning require additional income sources because tuition alone is not enough. We, likewise, must raise funds through a variety of additional sources including endowments, gifts from friends and alumni, and fund-raising for capital projects that improve the campus and provide for increased enrollments and expanding programs.
