Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is an international, non-profit organization that strives to mobilize students to make a difference in their community through outreach projects that promote entrepreneurship and free enterprise.  Expanding into 39 countries, SIFE International involves over 1,500 participating colleges and universities.

An annual series of regional and national competitions allow SIFE teams to present their project results before a panel of judges involving many of today’s top business leaders.  The top teams from each bracket at the Regional Competition advance to the National Exposition and compete against some of the nation’s most elite universities.  During the 2010-2011 school year, the Bryan College SIFE team advanced to the National Exposition (see story) that was held in Minneapolis, MN.

SIFE International has many corporate and organizational partners that support and sponsor the organization such as Wal-Mart, The Coca Cola Company, Lowes, Pepsico, Procter and Gamble, and Frito Lay, among others.  During the regional and national competitions, SIFE students have the opportunity to network with professionals from many of these corporations and build contacts for future employment.
