OverviewThe major in Criminal Justice is designed to help prepare Christians for positions in the broad, growing field of Criminal Justice. This overlaps law enforcement at all levels–local, state, and federal; the court system; the post-conviction/treatment stages; and even international relations (with issues such as terrorism, human trafficking, and illegal immigration).The major involves courses set in the context of the traditional liberal arts curriculum and a Christian worldview, historic distinctives at Bryan College. |

Our Commitment to YouWe believe our students need not only the tools to compete successfully but also the philosophical and educational foundations to engage in "applied Christianity"–the term used by William Jennings Bryan to describe his political endeavors–and to think creatively and cogently, which is the reason that our criminal justice major is so deeply wrapped up in the overall liberal arts curriculum. Criminal justice is one of the fastest-growing job categories, and has been for over ten years (even before 9/11). Given that fact, we want to offer Bryan students an additional opportunity to impact the culture through the numerous enterprises involved with this field. |
