Fine Arts London Tour
Every other year for about 20 years, Mr. Bernie Belisle and Dr. Mel Wilhoit have together led the winter break fine arts tour of London and the surrounding area. The ten-day tour includes a variety of historical, artistic, and theatrical locations including such places as the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, Windsor Castle, St. George's Chapel, Westminster Abbey, Hampton Court, Canterbury, and St. Paul's Cathedral.
Students also tour museum and art galleries, such as the Tate Gallery, the British Museum, and the National Gallery. Tours typically include a visit to the Globe Theatre where students participate in a Shakespearean workshop conducted by a Globe Company actor. Each tour includes multiple opportunities to take in performances in London's theatre district. The photos (courtesy of Mrs. Sue Wilhoit) includes images from the December 2011 - January 2012 tour.
