Bryan College Jordan & Israel Study Tour (12/30/12 – 1/13/13)
The pace was fast and the scenery was memorable. We visited Mt. Carmel where Elijah petitioned YHWH to display himself before the Baal prophets and also traveled to Nazareth where Jesus honed his skills with wood and stone. In addition we visited the Sea of Galilee where the disciples ministered and the Dead Sea where those at Qumran and Masada revolted against Rome.
Two weeks visiting the exotic places and experiencing the beautiful cultures of these countries was a superb way to spend part of the winter break. Students were exposed to the history, art, food, politics, geography, and culture of this area of the Mediterranean, and all under the guise of an Old Testament class!
