Baseball Earns Both AAC Weekly Honors

Rowden_and_ZawadzkiThe Bryan College baseball team swept the AAC weekly honors for the second time this season. LJ Rowden was named the Pitcher of the Week, and Grant Zawadzki was named the Player of the Week. They received these honors for their performances on the field March 10-17. The Lions went 4-1 on the week, including a win over NCAA Division II Lee University and two wins over No. 8 Tennessee Wesleyan.
Rowden, a 6’2 sophomore lefty from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., pitched a complete game on Friday night and earned the conference win over the No. 8 team in the NAIA. This is the second time this season that Rowden has received this honor.
Zawadzki is a 5’11 senior shortstop from Shrewsbury, Mass. He recorded at least one hit in all five games and had a batting average of .526 on the week.
Rowden and Zawadzki will look to help lead the Lions in their three games this week.
