August 21, 2015 — Bryan College has again scored high on a recent ranking published by Christian Universities Online, an online guide to Christian colleges and universities worldwide.
Bryan ranked no.3 in “50 Best Value Christian Colleges and Universities,” four steps higher than last year’s ranking at no.7, beating out Covenant College (no.34), Union University (no.36), and Lipscomb University (no.45).
“We are honored and thrilled to have such a high ranking of our academic programs by Christian Universities Online,” remarked Bryan College President Stephen D. Livesay. “All of our courses reflect our mission statement with a strong commitment to a biblical worldview. The ranking is a wonderful tribute to our outstanding faculty and staff and their commitment to Christian higher education.”
Admissions Director Joshua Hood ’01 said, “Our higher ranking is representative of the great relationships our faculty and staff have with our students! We help our students ‘connect the dots’ between the classroom experience and life after college; to become men and women who love Jesus Christ, serve people, and succeed in their careers.”
“BC is no stranger to our rankings with its highest prior ranking being in the top 10 of our affordability ranking,” said the rating’s author Michael Templeton. “BC has also earned spots in our overall best and lowest debt rankings. BC brings strong results to the table when considering our overall best categories such as percentage of full-time beginning undergraduates receiving financial aid, overall retention rate and a healthy overall graduation rate. The selectivity of the BC admission process earned them the most points and served to push them over the top in earning them their highest ranking to date.”
This ranking takes into consideration overall discount value with information from the National Center for Education Statistics. According to their website, Christian Universities Online website “is an independent online resource for prospective students and their families researching Christian higher education.”
