Rick Kuhlman, a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force, is Founding Director of Knoxville Fellows and President of 4 Market Square, Knoxville, Tennessee. He completed a BS in Industrial Engineering at the University of Tennessee. His education also included Squadron Officers’ School, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College of the United States Air Force. Rick’s passion in life is training up the next generation of Christian leaders. He has been able to fulfill his calling through high school and college Bible studies, small groups, and one on one mentoring. He believes the best way to bring about positive change is through life on life relationships. Rick is convinced that the Fellows’ program has the promise to bring transformation to our world through the blending of youthful energy and life experience along with opportunities to engage in the culture. He prefers to be the “Man in the Arena” and to encourage others to be the same! Rick attends Grace Presbyterian Church in Knoxville and is active with the UT Campus House of Prayer. He has been married to Beverley for over 43 years and they have a son Rick who resides with his wife Jamie and their daughter Ella Katherine in Nashville, TN. His present volunteer involvement includes: Air Liaison Officer, United Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Instructor, The Father Teen Adventure, Officers’ Christian Fellowship, Buena Vista, Colorado; Facilitator, West High School, Young Men’s Bible Study, Knoxville, Tennessee; Treasurer, The Fellows’ Initiative Board of Directors, Falls Church, VA; and Board, The Cross, Greek College Ministry, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee. He has volunteered in the past with:
