Spiritual Formation

Living a life that is centered on Christ, the life of a disciple, means loving and responding to Christ with heart, mind, soul, and body. Thus, Spiritual Formation works alongside students' educational experiences to consider how the gospel frames the way that they live and love, both here on campus and in their community.

Our mission is to invite students to interact with the Holy Spirit's work of nurturing depth of personal interiority, cultivating intimacy within community, and illuminating specific roles that enrich the Kingdom around the world, resulting in a richness of soul that leads to a richness of life.

Practically speaking, the department of Spiritual Formation develops opportunities for personal growth, community, and service through Christian Life Formation classes, Practical Christian Involvement, the Acts Project, the Italy Abroad semester, and Chapel programs. We also seek to foster mentor-rich environments and relationships for students throughout their time at Bryan.
