Assistant Professor of Christian Ministry-Worship Arts/Director of Campus Worship

The Assistant Professor of Christian Ministry-Worship Arts/Director of Campus Worship is a full-time non-tenure faculty position reporting to the Academic Vice President. Responsibilities include academic instruction, oversight of all worship areas, leadership cultivation, and contribution to and participation with the Christian Studies and Philosophy Department and the Assistant Dean of Discipleship and Christian Formation.



  1. Academic
    1. Teach 9 hours per semester in the Christian Ministry degree program with primary attention in the area of Worship Arts
    2. Provide oversight to the coursework for the Worship Arts curriculum, including any appropriate revisions to the curriculum
    3. Participate in the life of the faculty (including appropriate committees, faculty meetings, etc.) as a ranked, non-tenure track faculty member.
    4. Continue professional development in the field of worship arts.
    5. Serve as academic advisor to students who are Christian Ministry majors.
  2. Worship
    1. Work with the Assistant Dean of Discipleship and Christian Formation to create a meaningful and relevant chapel program, working with speakers to create consistent worship motifs, etc.
    2. Develop and provide oversight to a full curricular/co-curricular program in the area of worship arts, including Chapel worship leadership team and Devotion worship leadership team.
    3. Develop venues for worship on and off campus, as appropriate.
    4. Manage worship budgets, personnel, goals, etc. creating collaborative cross-departmental partnerships to fulfill the purposes of worship arts.
    5. Develop strategies for cultivating a strong worshipping community among the employee base of Bryan College.
  3. Leadership Cultivation
    1. Recruit and develop students for the purpose of worship leadership.
    2. Develop partnerships with churches and other organizations for the purpose of establishing worship internships.
    3. Develop marketing strategies for the recruitment of prospective students of the Worship Arts program.




Directly supervises appropriate Worship Arts interns.

Master's degree (M.A.) and at least two years related experience.
