Position Summary

The Online Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of contacting, encouraging, and counseling prospective students to make informed decisions about enrolling at Bryan College while maintaining accurate student records, and representing Bryan College during both on and off-campus events.

Reports to: Call Center Manager

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required; sales experience is preferred.

Experience Required

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with various constituents including students, professional organizations, government agencies, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Strong general computer skills, particularly Microsoft and Google suites, and comfort using technology systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Natural ability to sell the value of higher education, particularly a private, Christian education.
  • Willingness to try new approaches as requested. Skilled at making quick pivots as business/industry demands.
  • Utilize effective sales and customer service to enroll students into online programs to reach their goals to be shaped by the college’s mission – educating students to become servants of Christ to make a difference in today’s world.

  • Aggressively recruit students through sales and customer service to improve enrollment results.
    • Plan and execute recruiting activities by utilizing reports and spreadsheets
    • Respond quickly to new applications, actions, or questions from prospective students
    • Communicate regularly with students in assigned territory
    • Move students through the admissions process by collecting the necessary documents
    • Know, document, and respond to the needs of assigned students
    • Compel students to apply, submit documents, and enroll at Bryan College
    • Project enrollment probability for assigned territory as requested
  • Represent and promote Bryan College in a variety of contexts and ways.
    • Represent Bryan College at college fairs and other off-campus events (occasionally)
    • Participate in on-campus recruiting events as needed
    • Meet prospective students who visit campus (occasionally)
  • Maintain the student database with current, relevant, and accurate data to maximize information gained during enrollment and support other departments.
    • Document outreach and conversations with students in the recruiting database
    • Handle student information confidentially and professionally
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and external constituents.
    • Proactively communicate with Academic Advisors, Financial Aid Counselors, the Billing department, and academic personnel as needed to serve the student
  • Support coworkers as needed
