David Carroll Visits Bryan College

IMG_1004January 27, 2016 – Faculty and staff at Bryan College were treated to a guest visit from Chattanooga broadcasting icon David Carroll at a recent college luncheon.

Carroll, known for his School Patrol reports on WRCB TV, opened his presentation by thanking Bryan College for preparing several teachers and administrators currently serving in Hamilton County schools, including Zac Brown ‘01, who currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent. He also shared humorous excerpts from his recent book, “Volunteer Bama Dawg” that chronicles life in the South as well as stories about how his career was impacted by Chattanooga radio icon Luther Masingill.

At the end of his presentation, Bryan College President Dr. Stephen Livesay thanked Carroll by presenting him with some Bryan clothing and a coffee mug.

Carroll joined WRCB TV in 1987 and currently co-anchors Channel 3 Eyewitness News Live at 5 and Channel 3 Eyewitness News at 6 as well as election coverage. He is also the author of “Chattanooga Radio and Television.”
