With financial crimes on the rise, the need for forensic auditors and/or fraud investigators is imperative. The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Accounting will prepare students to recognize and defend against securities fraud, identity theft, and financial fraud. This program will cover topics such as economics, accounting, criminal justice, and business.
This degree will also prepare students to take the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) certification. Our program covers Financial Transactions and Fraud Schemes, Law, Investigation, and Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, all areas of focus for the certification.
Students that obtain a B.S. in Forensic Accounting will have the ability to take the Certified Fraud Examiners certification exam after two years of detection or deterrence fraud work.
